General procurement notice for Consultant for the adaptation of the methodology, the production of manuals, materials / videos and audios, the animation of the training of trainers and certifications, the supervision and control of the training of women entrepreneurs in Personal Initiative (PI) in Mbuji-Mayi , Kananga, Bunia, Bukavu, Goma, Kinshasa and Matadi
The Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo has received funding from the World Bank in the amount of Three Hundred Million US dollars, including SDR 107,600,000 as a grant and USD 150,000,000 as a credit, intended to cover the cost of the Empowerment of Women Entrepreneurs and Modernization of MSMEs Project for Economic Transformation and Employment in the DRC, in acronym TRANSFORME, and intends to allocate part of the proceeds of this financing to the payment of goods, works and consultancy services to be procured under this project. This five-year project (2023-2027) is fully funded by the International Development Association (IDA). The project is structured in five components, namely: Component 1 : will help to professionalize women entrepreneurs, expand the pool of new businesses, especially those created by women, and improve the performance of existing SMEs by encouraging modernization and technological upgrading. Over time, some of these entrepreneurs may apply for funding from Participating Financial Institutions (PFIs) strengthened by Component 2. Component 2 : Will address supply-side constraints that affect MSMEs% access to finance and support innovative financial solutions to expand access to finance for women entrepreneurs. Development of SMEs, with two sub-components namely: (i) Improvement of growth and performance of SMEs; and (ii) development of SME Auxiliary Centers; Component 3 : Will contribute to improving the sustainability of outcomes in terms of business survival and growth by improving the business environment and developing shared infrastructure to further stimulate technology adoption and facilitate access to markets. Component 4 : will be devoted to project management. Component 5 : is a CERC. The project approach and the scalable nature of its interventions will provide the flexibility to adapt the design and scale of its interventions to the national context.
