General procurement notice for (i) Strengthening the resilience of Pastoral and Agropastoral Production systems: This component will strengthen resilience of agropastoral production systems by furnishing the systems with resilient infrastructure by helping pastoralists and farmers adopt best practices for sustainable land management, and by increasing users’ access to innovative and resilient technologies.
(ii) Supporting Agribusiness Development in Pastoral Communities: The component will
contribute to a range of economic and social development objectives including facilitating
access to market, digital advisory services livelihood diversification and job creation for
women and youth.
(iii) Strengthening the Adaptive Capacity to Climate Change: The component will enhance
the physical and institutional infrastructure required to forecast, prepare and respond to
climate change effectively. This component will build a suite of data analytics and climate
services that will help herders, farmers and organizations to optimize decision- making and
adapt accordingly.
(iv) Project management and coordination

(iv) Project management and coordination The overall goal of the Program is to contribute to the building of resilience including for
women and the youth, to food and nutrition insecurity and climate change. The specific
objective of the Somalia project is to (i) increase, on a sustainable basis, productivity, and
agropastoral production systems, (ii) increase incomes from agropastoral value chains and (iii)
enhance the adaptive capacity of the people to better prepare for and manage climate change
risks and variation. The modes of procurement of the project will include Open Competitive
Bidding, Limited Competitive Bidding, Quality Cost Based Selection, Least Cost Selection and
Individual Consultant Selection.
