General procurement notice for Investments for Enhanced Productivity, ResourceEfficiency, and Climate Resilience (US$99.75 million IBRD, US$33 million Beneficiaries). This component will support the dissemination, validation and adoption of ClimateSmart Agriculture (CSA) technologies and practices, as well as RD&I efforts. The component will encourage the uptake and effective use of innovative/disruptive CSA technologies/practices by closing knowledge and skill gaps and by providing financial support and technical assistance to producers and enterprises.
Some of the activities envisaged under Component 3 are: (i) Recruitment of Consulting Firm for Design / Design Review, Preparation of Bidding Documents, Provision of Technical Assistance in Bid Evaluation/s & Supervision Services; (ii) Construction Works for Geothermal Heating System Geothermal drillings, Installation and Commissioning of the Well Equipment, Geothermal pipelines and the Heating Plant) for Pilot Project in Specialized Greenhouse Industrial Zones Based on Agriculture (Geothermal Sourced); (iii) Infrastructure Works (Irrigation, Sewerage and Rainwater Networks, Road Construction, Electricity, Telecommunication and Natural Gas Networks and etc.) for Pilot Project in Specialized Greenhouse Industrial Zones Based on Agriculture (Geothermal Sourced); Recruitment of a Consulting Firm for Quick Assessment of the Smart Technology Landscape and Identification of Pilot; (iv) Procurement of Goods for Capacity Enhancement of Smart Technology Hub under the Test Center (Multiple Contracts); (v) Procurement of vehicles for manure collection/transportation; and (vi) Design, Supply & Installation of Biogas Unit, Energy Production Unit and Fertilizer Production Plant and (vii) various Lab & Research equipment and materials for Research Institutes and other goods procurements for Enhancing the R&D Innovation Capacity (viii) Construction & Renovation of the Agricultural Mechanization R&D and Innovation Center (incl. Laboratory Equipment; Research Equipment; IT Equipment).
Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (November 2020) (Procurement Regulations), and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Procurement Regulations. The World Bank shall arrange the publication on its external website of the agreed initial procurement plan and all subsequent updates once it has provided a no objection.
Specific procurement notices for contracts subject to open international competitive procurement will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business online, on the World Bank s external website and Project s and the Ministry s official web sites and a newspaper of national circulation in the Borrower s or in the official gazette.
