General procurement notice for Provision of Installation of LAN and Fiber connectivity in the 26 Regional and 40 Districts Land Offices
The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received financing in the amount of US$ 150 million from the World Bank for the implementation of the Tanzania Land Tenure Improvement Project under Ministry of Lands, Housing and Human Settlements Development, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project. This project will be jointly financed by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania in the amount of US$ 1.2 million equivalents to Tanzanian Shillings 2.8 Billion. The Project Development Objectives is to strengthen the national land administration system and increase tenure security in selected areas for both men and women.
Component 2: Land Information Management: This component will include the rollout of ILMIS, improvements to the geodetic network, base mapping, and establishment of a basis for National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) to strengthen accessibility and efficiency of land administration services. This component entails the following subcomponents: -
Subcomponent 2.1: Upscaling of ILMIS. The ongoing ILMIS pilot is a long-term initiative aiming to achieve a unified electronic land registry to cover the entire territory of Tanzania. The ILMIS Rollout components will be implemented in 24 regions where 25 Regional land offices will be constructed and equipped with information and communications technology infrastructure and facilities
